Ex-Jets receiver celebrated TD with shot at Aaron Rodgers, who called him out

Mike Williams impressed in his debut with the Steelers, catching a 32-yard touchdown pass from Russell Wilson to help secure Pittsburgh’s 28-27 win over the Washington Commanders. Later, the receiver celebrated with a subtle jab at Aaron Rodgers.
Before the Jets traded Willians to Pittsburgh, he was called out by Rodgers after the Oct. 14 loss to the Bills. The quarterback said that Williams ran the wrong route which resulted in an interception and lost the Jets the game.

Williams appeared to respond to Rodgers via the Instagram post he made in celebration of Pittsburgh’s win this week.
“Thankful #WholeLotta #WeBack #RedLine,” Williams wrote.
While criticizing Williams after the Week 6 loss, Rodgers had mentioned the “red line.”
“There’s two verticals, Allen [Lazard]’s down the seam, and Mike’s [Williams] down the red line,” Rodgers said. “So, I’m throwing a no-look to the red line. When I peak my eyes back there Mike’s running an ‘in-breaker,’ so it’s got to be down the red line.”
The red line is a practice tool used by NFL team’s to help their receivers with their vertical routes. It’s painted a few yards from the sideline and is mean to help players from drifting to the middle of the field or the sideline.
