Actor Rupali Ganguly responded to a post made by Anupamaa producer Rajan Shahi, appreciating her courage and strength as a woman amid allegations of abuse and fraud by her stepdaughter Esha Verma. The popular telly star expressed her gratitude to the director for standing by her and treating her like family.

Rupali recently sued Esha with a Rs 50 crore defamation suit. Rajan Shahi’s post came a day after the news of the actor getting legal help broke in. In his post made on Instagram on November 15, Friday, the producer wrote, “we have seen behind the scenes all the hardwork, challenges, sacrifices you face with a smile. Your humility as an actress is inspirational to all of us at Anupamaa team (sic).”
He referred to the actor by her screen name, Anupamaa, and added in the post, “Walk forward, always, as usual, with a smile and confidence, as your daily hard work is your answer to all the loyalty and dedication to your craft. Anupamaa is exemplary (sic).”
Earlier this month, Esha accused Rupali and her husband Ashwin Verma of abusing her mother and Ashwin’s first wife. She also alleged that the actor robbed her mother’s jewellery and broke her parents’ marriage. He labelled Rupali an ‘abusive and toxic woman’. The 26-year-old later deleted her post from social media handles following the legal case.
Rupali got married to Ashwin in February 2013. The couple has a son who was born in August of the same year.
